This building with a national monument status has been extensively renovated in 2009. The furnished interior of the apartment, including the kitchen and bathroom, has been renovated in recent years which now results in lots of modern comfort with the added bonus of an elevator and a prime canal view.

The communal entrance leads to the indoor courtyard. To the left, either the elevator or the stairwell leads up to the apartment which is situated on the second floor. After entering, a long hallway connects the front and backside of the apartment. At the front facing the canal is the living room, dining area and open kitchen. In this stylish kitchen all modern appliances are present such as a fridge and separate freezer, dishwasher, a proper oven, gas cooker and the extractor. A washer and dryer are neatly set up in a separate closet. At the front of the living room, doors can be opened allowing lots of daylight to pour in and enabling a beautiful view of the canal below.

Down the hallway to the right is a separate toilet and further at the back is the decent sized bathroom with a walk-in shower, separate bathtub and wash basin.

Opposite the bathroom is the master bedroom with a view towards the courtyard. There is a large enough wardrobe closet providing the storage needed. Adjacent to the master is the second bedroom which used to be a kids’ bedroom but can be rearranged into a guest bedroom. At the back of this room doors open on to a balcony which enjoys a fair amount of sun on a good day.

A minimum 12 months rental period and a security deposit equalling 2 months’ rent are required conditions. Flat sharing is not allowed.

Area information
The Brouwersgracht is one of the best known canals of the Jordaan. When crossing the canal, the Haarlemmerstraat is the nearest street where a great variety of convenience stores, boutiques and supermarkets provides every possibility for daily groceries and more. In terms of public transport, the Central Station is within walking distance (10 min.) being a major hub where every mode of transport is found. The sheer convenience of this location is a real benefit and a great starting point to get to know the city as well as its most famous neighbourhood.
